AGISTMENT SERVICES

Agistment is available for anyone wanting to invest in alpacas but not able to keep them at home.  Or ... Short term agistment is available for those needing their alpacas looked after while on holidays etc.  All visiting alpacas at Petronella Park are treated as if they are our own - with the same tender, loving care at all times!  Our facilities are designed with the alpacas safety in  mind. 

 

 

 

 

Our solid fences are wooden post, plain wire and dingo meshed around the external perimeter.  Internal fencing is wooden posts, plain wire and dog meshed for further security.  Four big, dry, roomy stables are accessible by the alpacas in cold, inclement weather, so they can keep warm and dry at all times.  Laneways, working pens and holding yards and paddocks are designed to minimise any possible injury to the animals.  Paddocks are gently sloping with no shortage of  lush green grass, and shade/shelter available at all times.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alpacas are fed quality lucerne and white hay as required and a daily chaff mix with pellets and vitamins added. We have a K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) feed policy here!  However, feeds can of course, be tailored to the owner's request (costs may vary in accordance to changes made).

 

 

 

 

 

We have a resident maremma "herd guard" dog in "training" and several wethers to assist in keeping the herd as safe as possible.  As well as donkeys next door..    All paddocks are in view of the house which is located strategically in the centre of the property - for added peace of mind.

 

 

 

 

 

WEEKLY AGISTMENT CHARGES

(Includes feed and normal husbandry costs).  Does not include annual shearing or any vet bills.

1 to 20 alpacas - $10.50/week per animal

20+ alpacas - $9.50/week per animal

Stud males agisted - by negotiation.
